Elsie Jeanette Oxenham published 87 books and numerous short stories for girls during the first half of last century. Her Abbey series has been read and loved by several generations of girls and women.

For me, photos and scenes, although in themselves often quite unrelated, evoke 'Abbey memories'. Here are a few that  I hope you enjoy also.
