2020

Currently operating (NSW)

Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury (NSW
Pandemic restrictions may have forced the cancellation of many of Lifeline H2H's
vital community fundraising events, but it hasn't stopped them from opening
COVID-safe pop-up book stores in the area – first in Roseville (since closed),
and now in Hornsby and in Lindfield. Past and new supporters of Lifeline
can now purchase from the same massive range of high-quality, low-priced
books – as well as DVDs, CDs, vinyls, comics and computer games –
that have always been offered at their famous books fairs.
Lindfield: 328 Pacific Highway (opposite railway station)
Trading Hours: Tues–Sat, 10am–4pm; Sun, 10am–2pm
Hornsby: 20 George Street (next to railway overpass)
Trading Hours: Tues–Sat, 10am–4pm
Both Lifeline Pop-up Book Shops are located close to railway stations, with plenty
of car parking available nearby. Cash accepted, though card preferred.

ALAN "Richo" RICHARDSON
From
Model Auto Review: Sydney Model Auto Club life member Alan Richardson died 13th April, 2001, while visiting a friend in hospital when he complained of chest pains, and went immediately to Casualty. In spite of CPR administered by the staff, he passed away at the age of 61, due to unsuspected hardening of the arteries. 'Richo' was a colourful character, and ran the Granville Swapmeet on behalf of the Club.
RICHARD FITZGERALD
Richard ran RICHARD'S BOOKS at The Entrance, NSW. Is the old yellow building still in operation, run by his wife Val? We always used to look forward to seeing Richard and a nicer bookseller and mate couldn't be found in country NSW. Taken from us at the early age of 59, never to be forgotten.

The events listed here usually relate to NSW, Australia (but we WILL include events from OTHER STATES, if you send them in!). For events outside of Australia, go here.

* Denotes to be advised.

Please forward details of forthcoming events for FREE inclusion. Details MUST be in the body of an e-mail. We will NOT open attachments under any circumstances.
